Public open space such as the unformed part of Deeble street at Tennyson Point should remain in public ownership and should not be leased or otherwise given to private individuals. All Ryde residents have a stake in this land, not just the voters in East Ward.

I really appreciate your idea of providing a community garden in Eastwood. I try to grow vegetables and fruit trees in my own backyard, but due to not enough sunlight, nothing is growing well. If a community garden is provided around Eastwood, or nearby area, that will be great!
I also concern the spraying of herbicides and pesticides in parks, car parks or other public areas. I strongly believe those chemicals are not good for our health. I am wondering if there are any guidelines of herbicides or pesticides use in the council?
Ryde Council is responsible for many services including processing development applications, enforcing planning laws, maintaining local roads and footpaths, traffic control, library services, weekly collecting waste, recycling, parks, open spaces, public domains, sporting grounds and community facilities.
